| Can’t find a matching part number? Find the piston size of your unit. Front Master Cylinders - check the top or bottom of the lever clevis for a stamped alphanumeric string. The last two digits in the string indicate the piston size in mm (EXAMPLE: ‘1PJK 15’ = 15mm piston. In the case of ‘Radial-GP’ pumps, you may see a ‘PR’ or ‘/’’ stamping, followed by a number. If the number is “19x18” or “16x18”, the first number is piston size, the second refers to the pivot centers of the unit’s lever). Rear Master Cylinders - for lever-types, check clevis area as above. If rod-actuated, check the entire body for the alphanumeric string or a string starting with ‘PS’ (EXAMPLE: ‘PS12’ = 12mm piston). |

| QUESTION: Hi,
I'm having trouble identifying a master cylinder I put on my old Guzzi. It appears that it's leaking and is in need of a rebuild.
The only numbers I can find are on the bottom and it looks like 10.5038 the only other number I can find is on the clevis top and it's either a D or on O and the number 16. Any ideas?
Thanks

| ANSWER: If you ave the number 16 on the master cylinder that indicates a 16mm piston.
Unfortunately Brembo does not make any kits for the 16mm items so you will have to replace the whole master.

| QUESTION: Hi There,
I am inquiring about a new or second hand master cylinder for the front brake of my Moto Guzzi Le Mans IV 1000 ,1986.
It is leaking from the bottom of the brake fluid reservoir, It doesn't appear to be cracked, more like a seal is gone at the bottom.
Is there a seal kit available that might fix this problem. It is manufactured by Brembo.
Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.
Regards

| ANSWER: The master cylinder part number is 10.4343.10 and is no longer made. You can try a repair kit part number 110.2797.20 at $16.26. Otherwise change the whole master out to a 10.4620.61. I am currently out of stock on this item. Let me know how you want to proceed.
Thanks,
