The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION:
Hi there, I have a pair of the Brembo 30 - 34mm calipers on the front and a 16mm Nissin master cylinder. The braking action is effective but very 'wooden' and a reasonable amount of pull is required. I've bled the system and am trying a friend's 16mm Nissin at present in case mine was faulty. There is little difference between them. Do you think that by dropping to a 15mm Brembo MC will give more feel? Thanks for your help. Miles
ANSWER:
There is little question that you will get better feel from a Brembo master cylinder. They trade off length of pull versus piston size to give more precise braking. You rarely see a race bike without an aftermarket master cylinder because the added performance is not just a luxury, but a necessity in racing.
