| QUESTION: What is the silver cast radial caliper mounting distance 100mm or 108mm mount? I'm set for zx10 2008 |
| ANSWER: This caliper is a 100mm mount. Your ZX10 has a 108mm mount so these calipers would not work for you. If you are looking for a caliper upgrade, I would recommend the M4 Cast Monoblocs that retail for $999/set (220.A397.10) or the Hard Anodized CNC calipers that retail for $1,550/set (220.A016.10). Both of these have the same size pistons, however the CNC calipers are stronger and will not flex as much as the M4's so you will have a better feel, and more braking power. The CNC calipers are better suited to such a powerful bike as the ZX10, but depending on your budget, the M4's might be a better option. If you are doing only street riding the M4's would work well, but if you are track riding, you would notice a big difference in the CNC's. | QUESTION: Greatly appreciated for the help given.
My front fork is Ohlins R&T with detachable mounts , and using Marchesini Espada wheels. The previous caliper that was fitted on the bike was a Brembo GP4 P30/34 and I also have the Brembo conventional mount monobloc which cannnot be fitted due to the caliper being too thick and hits the wheel.
The followings are my requirements for the caliper
1) The caliper has to be as thin as possible , smallest possible distance between the mount centre to the caliper walls at the wheels ( MOST CRITICAL)
2) 108mm mount
3) 22.5mm offset from disc cente to the mounting centre
How does the thickness of HPK caliper compared to GP4 and monobloc? What is the HPK caliper thickness measured from centre of disc to caliper edge at wheel side?
From what i notice , there are alot and different HPK caliper for jap bikes (108mm mount) , could you kindly advise me which is the most suitable set based on my requirements.
Could you also have the HPK rear caliper for Aprilia RSV 2004-2006 ?
Thanks.
|
| ANSWER: The HPK calipers are much thicker thant ht Monoblock calipers. From the mount center to the back of the caliper it is about 63mm. It is 22.5 mm from disc center to mount center. These are the measurements fromthe HPLK caleper. As for all the different part number for the calipers is because the calipers come with spacers to space them out to accomodate the rotor size. The part number for the raer caliper is 120.A441.10. I don't have them in stock yet but they should arrive next week. I hope I answered all your questions.
Thank You,

| QUESTION: Thanks for the reply. I am building a Custom bike, I need a 108mm Radial mount right side Brembo caliper which preferly has to be as slim as possible . Do you have any 108 mm mount Brembo Goldline caliper ?
|
| ANSWER: I don't. The Goldline are actually veru bulky also. You would be better off trying the HPK style. I would have to see if I could get this in a single rather than a pair. |
