The Clear Alternatives taillight lens are a direct replacement of the original stock and require no modification. The clear taillight lens are made of high quality injected plastic and assembled using state of art machinery. Complete units consist of the lens and the housing assembly sealed as one. Most of the taillight assemblies are DOT approved using a newly designed Patent Pending red insert. In addition to the inserts the inside of the housing is both metalized (chromed) and in most cases the lens pattern is reshaped to enhance the lighting output.
