What does Heat Sheath™ do?
Heath Sheath™ is designed to fit over wires and hoses even with the tightest bends. It will reflect up to 90% of radiant heat and can insulate against up to 500 degrees of direct continuous heat.
How is Heat Sheath constructed?
Heath Sheath™ is constructed from Hi-Temp fiberglass fabric bonded to an aluminized material with sides sewn together forming a sleeve.
Can I cut the sheath if it is too long?
You can easily cut the sheath with scissors or sharp knife and it won’t fray apart.
If I have a ½" hose should I get a ½" sheath?
No! You always want a little slack in the material for bends or allow for easy on and off applications.
How much heat can this material withstand?
DEI's Heat Sheath™ can withstand up to 2000 degrees radiant or 500 degrees direct.
Is there anyway to install this without removing the hose?
No, but our Heat Shroud is made of the same material that features a Velcro closure that will allow it to be installed on existing hoses.
Is Heat Sheath™ available in bulk?
Yes, Heath Sheath™ is available in bulk up to 50' rolls.
