| QUESTION: Scott,
My 1998 1200S Bandit has 2 brake lines that run from the master cylinder on the handlebars, 1 to each of the front calipers. There is no "Tee" at the bottom triple clamp, does this mean that your riser kit / brake line will not work on my bike?
Thanks for your help, Russ
|
| ANSWER: Hi Russ,
It sounds like you no longer have the stock brake lines on your Bandit and our brake line will not work. However, the lines you have installed may be loner than stock and you may not need a longer brake line at all. I would check the extra slack in the brake lines at the handlebar. If you have 1 1/2" slack, you should be fine.
Thanks again,
Scott-Genmar |
|
| QUESTION: I have a follow up question, my 1998 1200S Bandit has 2 front brake lines. Does the riser kit installation only require 1 brake line to be replaced or does the kit come with 2 brake lines?
Thanks, Russ |
| ANSWER: Hi Russ,
We only replace the top portion of the brake line from the mastercylinder at the handlebar to the bottom triple-clamp so you will just need the one line.
Thank you,
Scott-Genmar |
|
| QUESTION: Will the installation of these risers on a 1998 1200 Bandit with stock handlebars require any modifications other than the longer brake line supplied with the kit? Thanks, Russ |
| ANSWER: Hi Russ,
The brake line is the only modification you will need to make on the 1998 Bandit.
Thank you,
Scott-Genmar |
|

| QUESTION: I've got a question regarding the "S121" for my 2000 Suzuki GSF1200S.
The fittings on the ends of the replacement brake hose are much narrower that the stock Suzuki hose fittings. Is this correct? Will this hose work with the stock banjo bolts?
|

The stock fittings are narrower on the Galfer hoses. This is correct and you will be able to use your stock banjo bolts. We have never had any issues with the Galfer hoses in the past.

| QUESTION: Do you have a riser for the Suzuki 1250 Bandit? If yes, does the brake hose have to be replaced? What is the cost? Estimated time to install? |
| ANSWER: Hi,
Our S-121 risers do fit the new Bandit 1250. You will not need to change the brake line on the new bandit. However, you do have to remove the brake line from a small bracket on the bottom triple-clamp. It is very simple and does not require disconnecting the brake line. The risers are $109.95 and will take around 15 minutes to install.
Thanks for the inquiry,
Scott-GenMar |
|
| QUESTION: Will these work on a 2000 sv650 not the S. |
| ANSWER: Hi,
The S-121 risers will fit on the 2000 SV650. You will need the brake line that comes with the risers. Suzuki used the same brake line on the SV650 as they do on the Bandit models. The brake line is the only modification you will have to make to install the risers.
Thanks for the inquiry,

| QUESTION: I have installed heli bars on my 1999 Suzuki Bandit 1200 but would like to combine with risers since I still don't sit comfortably in my Corbin seat. (I'm 5'7"). The cables are already stretched so I may need to find longer ones. Any comments or ideas appreciated in regards to doing this would be appreciated. I also live in Vancouver, BC Canada and while I can arrange for US delivery it is not convenient. Can arrangements be made for delivery to Canada ? thx Manny |
| ANSWER: Hi Manny,
We do ship to Canada daily. We haven't tried the combination of our risers and the Heli set-up here in our shop. I know you will need to have some of the cables lengthened. The risers will bolt on with the Heli handlebars, but I don't know what all is required to make them work. I apologize for not being more helpful.
Thanks for the inquiry,
